Frequently asked questions
Short answers about categories, eligibility, privacy and removal. The development status is stated plainly below.
LinkShare is in development and is not yet accepting members.
Will competitors appear in my box?
We exclude businesses in your selling categories and the categories and businesses you block. Category labels are broad and cannot identify every possible competitor, so you can also block a business and report a category mismatch for review.
What if few or no businesses qualify?
The box shows fewer than four links, or a neutral "About NOSA LinkShare" state, rather than relaxing any rule to fill a slot.
I sell only on Etsy or another marketplace. Can I take part?
You can take part as a destination: your business can be shown in other members' boxes and receive referrals. Etsy does not offer a supported path for adding a custom script to a shop, so the box cannot be displayed there. Hosting is never a condition of NOSA membership.
Is there a paid plan?
Which membership level is eligible, and whether any placement is ever compensated, has not been decided. No tier or price is stated here. If any placement is compensated, links will also carry sponsored and the box will show a visible disclosure.
Does the box use cookies?
The box sets no cookies, and its requests to LinkShare omit credentials. Whether your visitors' region requires consent for any other reason is a question for your own review; LinkShare does not claim an exemption from consent rules everywhere.
Can I change how the box looks?
The box offers compact and full-width layouts with light, dark and automatic modes. It uses system fonts and your site's text size. Its link attributes and disclosures cannot be changed.
How much traffic will I get?
Every link is qualified for search engines. LinkShare is built for discovery and referral visits; rankings and sales are not guaranteed. No visit count can be promised until the service is measured.
What happens if LinkShare is down?
The box falls back to a neutral state with no member links. Changes apply to new visits immediately and to open pages within five minutes. Refreshes daily; availability may change.
What happens if I remove the box?
Removing the box from your site stops it displaying and does not cancel your NOSA membership. Remove the installation from your dashboard to stop your site being treated as a host.
Who is eligible?
The intended rule is that a member must be an active NOSA seller and have verified ownership of the site. The exact membership levels are not yet confirmed. LinkShare is not yet accepting members.
