Documented install path; not yet tested by NOSA. Script Manager plus a theme footer mount.
What is documented
Script Manager loads the script, and a deliberate mount element in the theme footer template places the box. An app or Widgets API route is a later phase and does not exist yet.
What has not been tested
NOSA has not yet installed LinkShare on a test BigCommerce site. This page is built from the platform's own documentation and NOSA research checked October 16, 2026. Treat each step as documented, not confirmed.
Before you start
- A BigCommerce store you own with a Stencil storefront, and permission to edit a theme copy. A headless storefront is a separate case.
- Your installation snippet from the LinkShare dashboard, available after ownership verification.
Caveats
- Script loading alone does not locate the footer. The theme template edit is what places the box.
- Stencil and headless storefronts are validated separately. No headless guidance exists yet.
- Theme updates can overwrite the footer template. Repeat the check after any theme change.
Removal
- Remove the mount element from the footer template and apply the theme.
- Delete the script entry in Script Manager.
- Pausing the installation in the LinkShare dashboard hides the box without editing the theme.
