WordPress / WooCommerce
Planned / unverified
Documented install path; not yet tested by NOSA. Footer custom HTML through an approved snippet tool.
What is documented
Footer custom HTML through an administrator-approved snippet tool such as WPCode, on a self-hosted WordPress or WooCommerce site. A small NOSA block or plugin is a later phase and does not exist yet.
What has not been tested
NOSA has not yet installed LinkShare on a test WordPress / WooCommerce site. This page is built from the platform's own documentation and NOSA research checked October 16, 2026. Treat each step as documented, not confirmed.
Before you start
- A WordPress or WooCommerce site you own, with an administrator account.
- An administrator-approved way to add footer HTML, for example a snippet plugin or a theme footer setting that accepts scripts.
- Your installation snippet from the LinkShare dashboard, available after ownership verification.
Caveats
- Themes, user capabilities, HTML sanitizers and security plugins differ. Some strip or block script tags for certain roles or on multisite installs.
- Caching, minification and script-combining plugins can rewrite or delay an external script, which can make its integrity check fail. Exclude the LinkShare script from those optimizations.
- WordPress.com sites need a plan and hosting features that allow plugins and custom scripts. Check the current plan permissions with WordPress.com; NOSA does not publish a blanket plan rule.
- WooCommerce route exclusions are part of what a recorded install must test. None has been recorded.
Removal
- Disable or delete the footer snippet in your snippet tool.
- Clear any page cache so visitors stop receiving the old footer.
- Pausing the installation in the LinkShare dashboard hides the box without editing the site.
